HFH
Planning Inc. is a Registered Investment Advisor firm established
in 1993. Hank Hanau, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional,
with expertise in both the financial and investment spheres recognized
the need for affordable financial direction by fiduciaries. Hank
owned and operated a multi-million dollar business from 1964
through 1979 before selling it and joining the investment firm
of Bache Halsey Stuart Shields (now Wachovia Securities) and
becoming a Vice President of Investments.
Hank created HFH Planning for two reasons:
- The commission based structure of major brokerage firms does
not favor the middle-income individual who is most in need
of a financial plan.
- Due to the same fee structure, major brokerage firms, generally,
may only suggest financial products for which they receive
a commission – that is not always the best product for
the client.
HFH Planning is one of the few financial planning firms to charge
only on an hourly basis. No referral fees, no commissions
(we suggest true no-load mutual funds for investments), no assets
under management fees. That translates into no
conflict of interest. Our role is to examine your current
financial situation along with your projections, and use that
information to design a plan consistent with your goals and objectives.
You may implement the plan yourself, or we will provide further
guidance.
We consult with tax attorneys, estate attorneys, accountants,
stock brokers, insurance agents, and/or other professionals to
implement the most effective long-term financial strategy for

G. Martin Poole, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL
PLANNER™, joined HFH Planning Inc. as a Financial Advisor
in March 2009. Previously Martin was a Wealth Management Product
Specialist at Citigroup’s Family Office Group working with
Citi Smith Barney financial advisors to pinpoint additional services
to benefit their clients. He spent seven years at US Trust where
he advised individuals and families on the management of their
assets, building on his 12 years’ experience in a similar
position at the Private Bank at Chase Manhattan (now JP Morgan
Chase). He joined HFH Planning Inc. because of the unique service
he can provide clients of all levels of wealth.
In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional,
Martin is a Registered Financial Consultant. He also has a Master
of Business Administration with Distinction from New York University
and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |

Sondra (Sandy) Rothberg
Prior to joining HFH Planning
in 2006, Sandy was an Assistant Compliance Officer at the Riverside
Agency where she supported the registered representatives working
there. Sandy also was a Sales Manager at GreenPoint Bank and supervised
insurance licensed employees. Her success as Sales Manager resulted
from her years centered in the banking world where she worked in
various roles and finally as a Personal Banker selling bank services
to busy entrepreneurs and as an outreach to businesses.
Sandy became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional
early in her career to gain a thorough understanding of the various
consequences of financial decisions because “when you work
for a bank, your friends expect you to know everything there
is to know about money”. |
